It's that time of the year again to nominate your home, school or business for the city's annual Beautification Awards.
The deadline to submit your nominations is 5 p.m. on Aug. 31.
The program is organized by the city's Beautification Task Force and it was designed to recognize the efforts of residents and businesses to improve and maintain the physical appearance of the community. The awards celebrate homeowners and businessowners who put in a significant amount of work to beautify the front facades of their buildings.
Residents and businessowners can nominate their own properties. However, if someone won an award last year, she can't win in the same category for this year's contest.
To submit a nomination:
- Print out and submit the nomination form in person or mail it to the City Clerk in City Hall at 567 El Camino Real, San Bruno, CA 94066.
- Send the nomination form as a fax to 650-589-7807.
- Fill out the online form on the city's website.
The award winners will be announced at the Oct. 9 City Council meeting.
