A group of residents on Tuesday celebrated National Night Out in San Bruno at Grundy Park with food, good conversation and face painting.
The event, which was held in cities throughout the country, serves as a way to get people out of their homes and meet each other with the common purpose of making communities safer by raising crime prevention awareness.
Councilman Rico Medina, Police Chief Neil Telford and Police Lt. Geoff Caldwell also stopped by to hang out with the group for a while.
San Bruno Patch caught up with some of the participants at the Grundy Park event and, in the spirit of the event, asked them all the same question: "What more do you think needs to be done in San Bruno to prevent neighborhood crime?"
