Nor'Easter Cancels Dozens of SFO Flights

Passengers flying are encouraged to check flight status with their respective airlines.

With a nor'easter pelting parts of the East Coast, a dozen flights to and from San Francisco International Airport have been canceled today, an airport spokesman said.

Nine of the 12 cancellations were arrivals coming from the East Coast, airport spokesman Doug Yakel said.

The majority of the canceled flights were coming from JFK International Airport in New York. The others were from Newark Liberty International and Philadelphia International airports, Yakel said.

SFO had 30 canceled flights because of the storm on Wednesday, Yakel said.

The weather in the New York area looks to be getting better, and SFO doesn't anticipate any more cancellations today, Yakel said.
