Things To Know: Caltrain LIVE Arrival/Departure Updates

Caltrain Real-time Info Now on Website

Caltrain Real-time Info Now on Website

October 8, 2013

Caltrain’s long-anticipated real-time departure system is up and running on the website, www.caltrain.com. The technology advance is one step in bringing the railroad, which will celebrate its 150th anniversary on Oct. 19, into the future.

The real-time feature, which is available in three locations on the website, went live today. A box on the right hand side of the home page allows users to select a station and see departure times for the next three north- and southbound trains. The information is in a “countdown” format.  Departure times for individual stations are displayed on the “station” page, which can be found under the “station” menu. A mobile-friendly web interface option for smartphones or tablets also is available at www.caltrain.com/schedules/realtime/stations.
