At the Feb. 12 meeting, staff will make a presentation, followed by an opportunity for public comments. The council will decide whether to approve the Plan, EIR, and General Plan amendments.

Additional information provided by San Bruno City Clerk Carol Bonner:

“San Bruno Transit Corridors Plan” to be Presented to San Bruno City Council.  The San Bruno City Council will be considering approval of an important area revitalization plan, referred to as the San Bruno Transit Corridors Plan (TCP).

Work on the TCP began in 2008 when the City’s Redevelopment Agency approved preparation of a Specific Plan to guide the redevelopment of the City’s downtown core along San Mateo Avenue and the streets directly adjacent to it, including El Camino Real, San Bruno Avenue, and Huntington Avenue. This project area covers approximately 150 acres. Also, in 2008, the council appointed a 17-member Steering Committee, which represented a broad range of community interests, to assist with the preparation of the Plan. The council envisioned this planning effort would be the catalyst to revitalize this important area of the community."
