Winning Lotto Ticket Worth Nearly $2 Million Bought in San Bruno

The five of six numbers winning ticket was purchased at Huntington Liquor, which is located at 763 Huntington Avenue in San Bruno.

The following is a news release from the California Lottery:

On this final day of winter, let us leave you with one cold hard fact – you don’t have to win the jackpot to suddenly find yourself with a potentially life-changing amount of money.

Just ask the lucky owner of the ticket that successfully matched five of six numbers in last night’s Mega Millions draw. They may not have won the $414 million jackpot, but the check they’re due to receive still has plenty of digits! We’re talking $1,962,339 to be exact.

The winning numbers are 11-19-24-33 and 51. Had the ticket matched the Mega number 7, the owner would be splitting the $414 million jackpot with two other big winners in Maryland and Florida.

The five of six numbers winning ticket was purchased at Huntington Liquor, which is located at 763 Huntington Avenue in San Bruno (San Mateo County). The lucky retailer is also going to cash in on the excitement, because it receives nearly $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.

The California Lottery strongly urges the winner from last night’s draw to sign the back of their ticket in ink, obviously keep it in a safe place and visit their local Lottery District Office as soon as possible. The winner has 180 days from the date of the draw to claim their prize.

Mega Millions is played in California (and 42 other states, plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands). Draw times are Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. PST. Tickets are $1 and can be purchased from any of the more than 21,000 California Lottery retailers. Please visit the California Lottery’s Mega Millions site for more information on how to play.
