Catch a Star Wars Read-a-Thon and Other Weekend Things to Do

STAR WARS READS DAY

What better way to celebrate the legacy of “Star Wars” than combining it with an all-day read-a-thon adventure? Stop by the San Bruno Public Library from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 and join other fans for a day of fun activities and prizes (while they last). Participants are encouraged to dress in their favorite “Star Wars” costume. Admission is free. The library is at 701 Angus Way, next to City Hall. For details, call 650-616-7078. 

ART & SCULPTURE SHOW

What’s Halloween without a spooky haunted house? The halls of San Bruno Park Pool will be transformed into a haunted house and open for tours from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Oct. 25-31 in San Bruno City Park at Crystal Springs and Oak avenues.
