Take a Trip Down 'The Avenue'

For this week's Viewfinder, San Bruno Patch took a visit to San Mateo Avenue, also known as "The Avenue," to see the many things that one can do in downtown San Bruno.

San Mateo avenue in downtown San Bruno has been known to be the heart of the city's downtown area. Here, one can find a great variety of things to do. Whether you're in the mood to eat, shop, or simply sit on the benches in the spring weather, The Avenue has it all.

No matter what a person's taste in cuisine is, they will always be able to find something here. The Avenue is home to a diverse collection of several restaurants of different types of food, including Japanese, Korean, Brazilian, Indian, Filipino, Chinese, Italian,  Mexican, and Mediterranean foods, to name a few.

In addition to all of the many restaurants lining the avenue, there are several jewelry boutiques, clothing stores, and other specialty stores that make for both a great browsing and window shopping experience.
