, one of the few locally owned coffee shops in the city, recently received an award from the U.S. Commerce Association for being the best coffee shop in San Bruno.
Owner Charles Kasuma found out about the 2011 Best of San Bruno award earlier this month and said he was excited about the announcement.
The Commerce Association, a New York City-based organization funded by local businesses throughout the country, recognizes outstanding local businesses every year with its "Best of Local Business" award program. The businesses selected to receive an award have exhibited exceptional marketing success in their local communities and business category, according to a press release.
The organization didn't say whether any other San Bruno businesses received awards.
