Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Coming to San Bruno's Biggest Condo Complex

Four new charging stations will be unveiled at Shelter Creek Condominiums on Saturday.

Northern California is continuing its tradition of staying on the cutting edge of technology by adding four electric vehicle charging stations in San Bruno.

The quartet of eco-friendly contraptions will be unveiled at the Shelter Creek Condominiums — San Mateo County's largest multi-dwelling unit.

According to the Fort Mill Times, the stations will be officially opened for use at a 1 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 19 in parking lot A. In all, Shelter Creek is a 45-acre facility that houses 4,000 San Bruno residents.

The charging stations will be made available to Shelter Creek residents and their guests.

“We are always looking for ways to conserve energy by following new trends,” Shelter Creek GM Ronnie Rosen told the Times. “With more than 1,600 cars coming and going through our property daily we wanted to install these EV charging stations to accommodate new and future EV owners."

Last January, a charging station was installed in the Walgreens parking lot at El Camino Real and Crystal Springs Avenue.
