Enjoy the Food, Enjoy the Show at Solita

South City restaurant and club features Filipino cuisine and an energetic night out.

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

SOLITA—Enjoy authentic Filipino cuisine and late night entertainment all in one place:  Solita. Open only on weekends, Solita is a lively, high-energy nightspot. House specialties include sisig bangus (milkfish, marinated and fried), sinagang (tamarind-based stew), and fried calamari. Live entertainment includes karaoke sing-along, the Signature Band, DJ Lyle and more. Check the restaurant's Facebook page for the entertainment schedule.

120 Hazelwood Dr., South San Francisco
