New Cell Site Boosts Verizon Service

Verizon Wireless recently installed a new cell site near the downtown area.

Verizon Wireless has installed a new cell site in San Bruno that is expected to enhance service for its mobile phone customers, the company recently said.

The company didn't disclose any details about the new cell site, but it did say that the site would expand Verizon's 3G wireless coverage and capacity along El Camino Real, Huntington Avenue and Cypress Avenue.

"Calling, downloading apps and surfing the web on the Verizon Wireless 3G network is now easier and faster for residents and travelers," the company said in a statement.
