UPDATED: Payless ShoeSource Scheduled to Close in January

Everything is 30 to 40 percent off at the closing store.

Several other businesses in Diamond Bar closed in 2011, including , , and .

UPDATE: According to Payless' U.S. media contact, Sacheen Cicero, the company will not disclose why the Diamond Bar store is closing. "With more than 4000 stores, we don’t comment on any specifics around stores – closings, opening, renovations or relocations," she wrote in an e-mail.

Amazing!!! Every 3-4 months something is closing in Diamond Bar. Perhaps our City Council could have a community meeting to address these closures and the economic status of Diamond Bar.

Helllooooo CIty Council: More closures along the Boulevard.... more blight, all the more reason it's time to revitalize the Blvd from Golden Springs Dr. to Temple Ave. And that unsightly Shell station... why can't the city clean it up as fast as they clean up Yard Sale signs?

Thank you m coogan. That Shell gas station has been under renovation for months. Perhaps Von's should take it over and open a gas station like they have in LaVerne. That Von's gas station is always busy and the prices are always lower than the regular gas stations.
