San Bruno Business Raided, Computers Confiscated

The local business, located on San Mateo Avenue, had been under investigation by San Bruno Police.

Early in the afternoon of Tuesday, April 16, San Bruno Police officers raided The Hub located at 444 A, San Mateo Avenue in San Bruno.  The officers were assisted in the raid by members of the San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force and the California Department of Justice, Division of Gambling.

According to a release sent  out Tuesday night by the San Bruno Police Department, during the raid several computers were confiscated.  Police believe the computers were used for illegal gambling.

Five people were arrested during the raid.  Police have not disclosed the names of those arrested saying only that two were arrested on outstanding warrants, two were arrested on drug charges and one person was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon.  The weapon wasn’t a firearm according to the release.

According to the release, the San Bruno Police Department has received numerous complaints about illegal gambling at the business as well as drug use and drug sales in and around the business.
