YouTube has announced that it is the official live-streaming provider for the Republican and Democratic national conventions.
With the Republican National Convention kicking off today in Tampa, FL, everyone will be able to watch all of the speeches and backstage action live on the site, including Mitt Romney’s acceptance speech on Thursday night.
Starting Sept. 4, the site will provide live-streaming of the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC.
In addition to providing a hub for watching the political conventions, YouTube has launched the YouTube Elections Hub, which will feature live speeches, Google+ Hangouts with key figures behind the scenes and a live stream of the official presidential and vice presidential debates—all leading up to the Nov. 6 election.
A number of news organizations have agreed to share their news coverage on the new hub, the company said.
