The San Mateo County Times reported that the Bullis and Greig families, whom lost multiple family members in the 2010 pipeline explosion, have settled their lawsuits with PG&E.
The settlements, which were for undisclosed sums, were announced at a court hearing on Thursday in Redwood City.
According to the Times, about 50 cases have been settled so far, and more than 400 suits have been filed by residents for physical and emotional trauma suffered because of the disaster in the Crestmoor neighborhood, which left eight people dead and 38 homes destroyed.
PG&E has set aside $200 million to pay for the lawsuits.
Greg Bullis, his 17-year-old son William and his 82-year-old mother Lavonne were killed at their Claremont Drive home when the explosion rocked the neighborhood. Three of the Bullis family members, including Susan Bullis—the wife of Greg Bullis— against PG&E for the loss of their loved ones.
