Caltrain Construction to Cause Traffic Detour Dec. 10-14

Think about alternate routes next week due to the Caltrain construction.

The everlasting Caltrain grade separation project in San Bruno is set to create a traffic issue next week.

"There will be a temporary detour of the right-turning traffic on Northbound Huntington Avenue to Northbound San Mateo Avenue," Caltrain said in an official statement.

The detour will last from Dec. 10-14, 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

According to Caltrain, "motorists heading Northbound on Huntington to San Mateo Avenue will be able to take a right turn onto San Bruno Avenue, turn left onto 2nd Avenue, and turn left on Walnut Street."

San Francisco to San Jose
Saturday, Dec. 8, through Friday, Dec. 14, crews will power wash and perform janitorial work at Caltrain stations between the San Francisco and Tamien stations.

Menlo Park to Mountain View
Sunday, Dec. 9, through Thursday, Dec. 13, crews will crews will operate heavy duty on-track machinery to grind and align the tracks between the Menlo Park and San Antonio stations.

Millbrae to Hayward Park
Monday, Dec. 10, through Friday, Dec. 13, crews will operate medium duty on-track machinery to remove and replace ties between the Millbrae and Hayward Park stations.
