PHOTO OF THE DAY: Semper Fi, Greg Bullis

A Marine Corps flag has been placed on the site of the former home of Greg Bullis and his family, where Greg, a former Marine, his son and mother died in the San Bruno fire.

The Gen. J.C. Breckinridge detachment of the Marine Corp League recently placed a Marine Corps flag on the property of the former Bullis family home in the Crestmoor neighborhood to honor , one of the eight victims of the 2010 PG&E pipeline explosion.

Sue Bullis, Greg's widow, asked the organization to provide the flag as a temporary memorial to her late husband because he was a former Marine.

Greg Bullis, who grew up in San Bruno, joined the U.S. Navy in 1978 and was later assigned to serve in the Marine Corps as a Fleet Marine Force corpsman. He remained on active duty until 1982 and then he became a reservist with the 23rd Marine Regiment in San Bruno.
