Posy Parade Drumrolls Through Another Year

The 72nd annual Posy Parade was held on Sunday and featured the princess court, school floats—including, for the first time in a while, a float from Parkside Intermediate—and the current and alumni members of the Capuchino High marching band, a special effort organized to give residents a sense of what the band used to be like during its “glory years” in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.

This year's Posy Princess was Jada Scott from John Muir Elementary, and the princess court included: Francesca Gravem from Allen Elementary, Reagan McNichol from Crestmoor Elementary, Gianna Alcaraz from St. Robert's and Alyssa Panameno from Rollingwood Elementary.

As is tradition, awards are given to floats that were in the parade. Belle Air Elementary's float won best float.
