Make this holiday season special for low-income and foster youth in San Mateo County by tossing a few gifts into the bus Saturday.
The Children’s Fund "Stuff the Bus" Toy Drive at the Serramonte Center will raise donations for 3,500 needy children in the county.
People are asked to bring donations of new toys, games, sporting goods and gift cards to the event. Many children and youth request the most essential needs, such as new clothing, sporting goods and school supplies, while their parents often ask for baby food and diapers.
Santa Claus, San Mateo County Supervisor Adrienne J. Tissier, Congresswoman Jackie Speier and dozens of community members, will be at the event to kick off the festivities.
"Stuff the Bus" will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 133 Serramonte Center (near Target) in Daly City. To volunteer or make a donation, contact the San Mateo County’s Children’s Fund at (650) 802-5152, email@example.com or www.co.sanmateo.ca.us/childrensfund.
