What's Open, Closed on New Year's Day 2012 in San Bruno

Keep in mind the special hours at many places.

Today is New Year's Day, which means many of the places you frequent will have special hours or will be closed.

It's also Sunday, so keep that in mind as well.

But you already knew that. So here's the information you need to know before walking out the door.

All of the major grocery stores in town will be open, but they all have special hours.

won't be open until 8 a.m. but will still close at 2 a.m., as it does every day.

will be open from 9 a.m.-7 p.m.

Lunardi's will be open from 7 a.m.-7:30 p.m., its regular Sunday hours.

If you're in the shopping mood, will be open from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

Caltrain and SamTrans will operate on Sunday schedules, while BART will do the same when trains start back up again at 8 a.m.

What's closed?

All city offices are still closed. That means the Veterans Memorial Building will be closed as well.
