From Kershaw to Holgate and now to Andrew Johnstone, who is teaching this small
and highly sought-after class, the secrets of centuries-old techniques in
marbling and wood-graining are being passed down through the ages. Johnstone
will be sharing his legacy in master painting classes at the East Bay's new
creative-commerce hub, The Gate, April 5-9 so that local painters and artists
can gain important skills, earn a diploma in the classic faux finishing arts of
marbling and wood graining and be awarded membership in the Architectural
Guild.
