Nine Lives is run solely on public donations to meet its operating expenses. The shelter rescues cats and kittens from high-kill shelters and at-risk situations and places them in permanent, loving homes.
“We also provide low-cost spay/neuter services to the public and other cat rescue organizations to reduce the number of unwanted kittens entering the Bay Area’s over-crowded shelters. Since 2004, we have rescued and more than 8,000 cats and kittens in permanent homes and have spayed/neutered more than 10,000!” said the Nine Lives spokesperson.
