Remember the KOFY Christmas Eve Yule Log?

It's just not the holidays without a corny TV fireplace log and some classic holiday music.

While New York's WPIX TV gets credit for creating the televised yule log in 1966, longtime Bay Area residents may recall our version, which used to air every Christmas Eve on KOFY 20 and was almost as famous as their barking Jingle Bells dog spot.

This year on YouTube George Savage Fitz-Boodle, who says he thinks he first recorded the full program in 1984, shares the throw-back footage for all to enjoy.

You even get the station breaks every half hour where members of the station staff briefly appear to send Christmas greetings to viewers.
