Oh my GOSH! Second day of school for San Bruno public schools, second week for St. Robert's and what a MAD HOUSE! If you have to be anywhere at 8:05 am (Allen School) or 8:11 am(Parkside), you had better give yourself enough time!
This morning I experience bumper to bumper traffic on Oak at Clark going towards St. Robert's and a HUGE back up on Niles at the top of the hill. Yuck! I was lucky enough to find a quick curb on Chestnut to kiss my son, quick (while nobody was watching, of course), and head down to Jenevein towards Allen School.
What I encountered on Jenevein was a suprise to me as well...bumper to bumper from Chestnut to Elm...and the garbage truck, doing its usual thing along the way, didn't make things any easier!
Getting everyone to school was chaotic but it didn't stop there! When I was driving back home up Jenevein to Cypress, there was a fender bender/hit and run and cars backed up from Elm to Hawthorne! Holy B-Jesus!
I circled my block to get to my house on Cypress and was SO grateful to be home, coffee in hand and sun on my back patio! Tomorrow, we'll have to leave a little earlier!
