Reflecting on Life and Death

We had better do everything that we love before it's too late. Life is so short.

As one life passes, another is born. Both life and death cause us to experience a myriad of emotions on any given day…

It’s interesting to talk to our 12- and 8-year-olds about life and death. It is wild how much they understand…and how much they don’t…

I care about them so much and want to protect them from harm and protect them from experiencing any pain of loss. But it will happen someday…

When I sit back and think how awful it must be to lose a father and a mentor, I suddenly realize…that I already have…but I am OK.

I sit back and think of all the things that people are standing up for like schools, healthcare and freedom, and I just want to go home and hug my kids because that’s the journey I chose.

I’m passionate about my family and my work, but I would still like to be a nurse. I wish I got paid to do PTA work because that gets really time-consuming sometimes. But I love it.

We had better do everything that we love before it’s too late. Life is so short, and we begin to realize that when we get older we'll all see people passing away often…
