So, I am sure a lot of people have heard about the proposal to change the name of the airport. I am accustomed to calling SFO the San Francisco Airport! I like Harvey Milk and what he stands for but long names make me crazy! I know it has to be voted on but Harvey Milk San Francisco Airport doesn't even flow, does it?
If we are going to make some name changes, I always thought it would be cool to call the San Bruno Senior Center something different. It is SO much more than a senior center! We have crab feeds, baseball and soccer events, chamber and school events, wedding receptions and more!
The San Bruno Rec Center changed its name but nobody calls it the Veteran's Memorial Rec Center, do they!
I know there are lots of awesome senior events at the San Bruno Senior Center but maybe if it were called something in honor of a special senior then when we say we are having our "wedding reception" at the "senior center", people don't think..."Whoah, that sounds exciiiiting!" Hee hee hee!
