Man Killed Crossing San Bruno Street ID'd

The 57-year-old was a local resident.

A 57-year-old man who was killed while crossing a street in San Bruno on Sunday has been identified as Bernabe Lactawen, according to the San Francisco medical examiner's office.

Police said Lactawen, a San Bruno resident, was crossing against a red light on El Camino Real at Jenevein Avenue at about 3:45 p.m. Sunday when a vehicle struck him.

He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he died from his injuries a short time later.

Police investigators said they do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision and the driver of the vehicle was not arrested or cited.
