She Proudly Walked Across the Golden Gate Bridge on Its Opening Day

San Bruno Death Notices: Catherine Sousa and Diane Sarro.

Catherine M. Sousa filled her 100 years on this earth with happiness and adventure. She proudly walked across the Golden Gate Bridge on its opening day in 1937. Catherine was known as the Biscotti Queen, player of bridge, pedro, bingo, and the piano. She moved to San Bruno in 2009. She is survived by her three children, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandkids.

Diane Marie (Hustedt) Sarro was a proud graduate of Immaculate Conception Academy and San Francisco State University. A longtime San Bruno resident, she died peacefully on Nov. 2 at age 80. She is survived by her four daughters and seven grandchildren.
