$499,000 looks like the hot ticket price that 3 bedroom homes are put on the market for these days but that's not what they're selling for! Yesterday I talked to an agent who's buyer was in competition to buy in South City against 22 offers! The list price was $515,000 and it was a basic 3 bedrooom, 1 bath ranch style home.
Wait, but it's the holiday season! Isn't the real estate market supposed to be slow this time of year? I have noticed that when there is a supply and demand issue with anything from hot ticket Christmas toys to real estate, there is no slowing people down!
In South San Francisco there are 14 homes for sale, not including the 8 in a brand new development on Chestnut listed in the millions.
