Editor's Note: The following letter was sent out to the San Bruno schools community today. It has been re-published here with permission from the author.
Today, amidst the many dark clouds that have been forming over our community, I am asking that each of you take a step back, breathe and begin to share ALL the GOOD that is happening too!
There has been so much negativity surrounding all of us that I'm hoping that we can balance it with POSITIVITY that will uplift us all. So many amazing things happen in the San Bruno Park School District everyday because of all of you, and I hate to see it overshadowed!
So, what am I asking of you?
Please share your stories of all the wonderful things that are happening with the children in your classroom, your school, your home...wherever!
Share your thank you's to specific people. Share something that will bring a smile or a chuckle. Share ANYTHING that will help push these dark clouds aside and bring a little sunshine into one another's lives!!!
Thanks so much to all of you for caring and working so hard for our children!!!
—Seanna Vail, teacher, El Crystal Elementary School
