Accused Masked Gunman Arrested
Redwood, 22, is accused of brandishing a fake gun when he robbed two downtown liquor stores earlier this month.
San Bruno police on Thursday arrested a man accused of earlier this month.
Anthony Tyrone Redwood, 22, was charged with two counts of armed robbery with enhancements for allegedly using a weapon when he hit two liquor stores using a fake gun in separate Aug. 15 and 18 incidents.
The Aug. 15 incident occurred on the 500 block of San Mateo Ave. at 9:16 p.m., and the Aug. 18 robbery at 12:32 a.m. on Aug. 18, police said.

Redwood pleaded not guilty to all charges at his Friday arraignment. His preliminary hearing was set for Sept. 8 at the South San Francisco Courthouse.
Witnesses told police the robber was wearing a mask and brandishing a gun, authorities said. Redwood was in possession of a mask and a fake gun that authorities believe he used in the robberies, Assistant District Attorney Albert Serrato said.

The Aug. 18 incident was captured on video.
Redwood faces enhancements even though he used a fake gun because authorities believe the replica weapon, which was made of metal, is capable of producing bodily harm, Serrato said. The DA could bump up the enhancement if evidence surfaces that Redwood used a real gun in the robberies.
Redwood faces a maximum of seven years and four months if convicted on the current charges.
