Car Strikes 12-Year-Old Boy in Pacifica

The boy was taken to a hospital to be treated for a leg injury that is not considered life-threatening, police said.

By Bay City News Service:

A car struck a 12-year-old boy Tuesday night when he entered a road in Pacifica between two parked cars, police said Wednesday.

The collision was reported at 9:33 p.m. in the 400 block of Monterey Road.

The boy was taken to a hospital to be treated for a leg injury that is not considered life-threatening, police said.

A preliminary investigation by police indicated that the boy entered the roadway by walking in between parked vehicles. Speed does not appear to be a factor in the collision, according to police.

Pacifica police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Breaking News: All the other news publications have reported on this since early this morning. Pacifica Patch, as usual, is late to the party.

Better late than never?

I guess. The Patch has been pretty poor since they got rid of their local editors.

Thanks for the info. I could see on top of the Hill on Monterey Road, the bottom of Monterey Road was blocked off. Only saw the lights of the Fire Truck, police cars and ambulance, but could not figure out what was happening. Good news, the boy will be ok.
