Detective Work Cracks Auto Burglary Case

Have you been the victim of a crime? Police have recovered stolen property—and they're looking for the rightful owners.

On December 6, 2013, at approximately 5:10 P.M., officers from the San Bruno Police Department responded to the Towne Center shopping center on a report of a vehicle burglary. Witnesses reported seeing a subject break into a parked car and provided officers with a description of the suspects, including the vehicle used when they fled the scene.

Based on the information provided by witnesses, the investigation led detectives to the identification of a suspect and a location in San Francisco where investigators believe additional suspects were accepting stolen property.

On December 17, 2013, with assistance from the San Francisco, Burlingame, and Colma Police Departments, investigators arrested two suspects in the case and served a search warrant at a residence in San Francisco, and a residence in Burlingame. As a result of the search warrants, investigators located property suspected of being taken during recent auto burglaries.

Bradley Shelton, a 31-year-old Burlingame resident, and Ijeoma Ogbuagu a 26-year-old San Francisco resident, were arrested and booked into jail on a variety of charges including burglary and possession of stolen property.

Investigators are continuing to try and identify the owners of the property recovered in this case.
