The driver who allegedly Thursday in an early morning crash is facing several felony charges in connection with the accident, the San Mateo County district attorney's office said.
Mitnesh Reddy, 21, of San Bruno was arrested shortly after the crash at about 3:50 a.m. when his vehicle, described by the San Mateo County Times as a Cadillac STS, which was traveling south on El Camino Real, hit the driver's side door of Sondra Gentile's Honda Civic as she was exiting Interstate Highway 380.
Reddy then allegedly fled the scene of the crash and was arrested at his home later that morning, police said.
Reddy was arrested for vehicular manslaughter, driving under the influence of alcohol and felony hit-and-run, District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.
Reddy posted $250,000 bail and is currently out of custody, Wagstaffe said.
He is scheduled to be arraigned in South San Francisco on Dec. 19.
