Man Arrested After Flower Shop Crash

Police arrested a 26-year-old Pacifica man on suspicion of driving under the influence.

A Pacifica man has been arrested in the aftermath of the and indefinitely closed, police said.

Sean Hernandez, 26, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and is awaiting formal charges from the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office, said Cmdr. Noreen Hanlon, the spokeswoman for the Police Department.

Although a major-injury accident, it is not clear whether anyone was injured in the crash. According to KGO-TV, witnesses said they saw a town car speed down El Camino Real before 8 p.m., crash into several parked vehicles and then careen into the front of the flower shop.

When reached by phone, the owner of Forever Yours, who declined to give his name, said the entire shop was damaged and that he didn't know when it would reopen.

Police are still investigating the incident.
