Overturned SUV Closes I-280 On-Ramp

The CHP said the on-ramp was expected to reopen at about 2:30 p.m.

A car that rolled over on an Interstate 280 on-ramp in San Bruno has prompted the California Highway Patrol to issue a traffic advisory for the area.

At about 1:25 p.m., a Ford Bronco overturned on the on-ramp connecting eastbound Sneath Lane to northbound I-280, CHP Officer Eric Anderson said.

The Bronco's driver became trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters, he said.

The on-ramp was shut down, and the CHP issued a Sig-alert at 1:57 p.m. Anderson said the on-ramp was expected to reopen at about 2:30 p.m.
