Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Car in San Bruno This Weekend

Police say the man suffered fatal injures when he was hit by a car.

A man was struck and killed by a car while walking in San Bruno on Sunday afternoon, police said Monday.
 
Police said the 57-year-old San Bruno man, whose name has not yet been released, was crossing El Camino Real at Jenevein Avenue against a red light at about 3:45 p.m. when a car hit him.

Emergency responders transported the victim to San Francisco General Hospital, where he died from his injuries a short time later.

Police did not arrest or cite the driver involved in the collision and investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor.

The collision remains under investigation.
