A woman killed in a hit-and-run on El Camino Real in San Bruno early Thursday morning has been identified as 61-year-old Sondra Gentile, the San Mateo County coroner's office said.

Gentile, a San Bruno resident, was exiting eastbound Interstate Highway 380 at about 3:50 a.m. when her vehicle was struck by another car headed south on El Camino Real, police said.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 21-year-old man from San Bruno, fled the scene and was taken into custody at his home at about 5:30 a.m, police said. The man's name has not yet been released.

The crash shut down El Camino Real between Sneath Lane and San Bruno Avenue for about eight hours.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

They took down the sign that said they were opening on June 14 and I haven't seen a new one with theRead More new date go up. The website still says "Store Grand Opening is on target for June 14, 2013," so that clearly needs updating too.
