Police Arrest Woman After Attempted Bank Robbery

San Bruno police investigators are looking into an attempted robbery at a Chase bank after a Menlo Park woman threatened to rob the bank and claimed to have explosives.

Police arrested a Menlo Park woman Wednesday after she reportedly threatened to hold up the Chase Bank in Towne Center with a bomb.

Jacqueline Casalou, 50, was apprehended shortly after bank employees alerted police. She is in custody on suspicion of robbery, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery in progress at the bank, located at 1200 El Camino Real, at about 10:41 a.m. Bank employees told officers that Casalou was demanding cash and claiming to have explosives, police said.
