Police Log: Apartment Fire Reported on Buena Vista Ave.

The following information was supplied by the San Bruno Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday

8:43 a.m. Several reported thieves were caught stealing sheetmetal and other items from a "South San Francisco Recycling" debris box on the 500 block of Cypress Avenue.

5:58 p.m. Police received a call about a road rage incident near Cherry Avenue and Jenevein Avenue. A motorcyclist had apparently been following a woman and wanted her to pull over, and the woman called police for help.

7:37 p.m. Police received a call about a road rage incident near Interstate 280 and San Bruno Avenue West. Someone was being followed by a GMC pickup truck, but then the driver turned on Cherry Avenue.

9:19 p.m. Police reported that a drunk driver was involved with a vehicle that was stuck on the train tracks near Angus Avenue West and Huntington Avenue. It didn't appear that anyone was inside the vehicle, but several people were standing around the vehicle.

9:35 p.m. Police received a call that an apartment was on fire on Buena Vista Avenue. Flames were seen coming out of the building, but authorities didn't know from where the fire had originated.

Friday

1:13 a.m. Police received a report that a drunk man was trying to get into a woman's house on the 1300 block of Jenevein Avenue. The man smelled like alcohol and she didn't know him, according to the resident.

12:49 p.m. A burglary was reported on the 1000 block of National Avenue.

2:33 p.m. A male exposed himself to a female student on the 300 block of Piedmont Avenue.

2:39 p.m. Police received a report about a reckless driver in a blue Ford F150 who was speeding from the golf course near Quail Point Circle and Sneath Lane and going through stop signs and around other vehicles.

4:51 p.m. A 70-year man reportedly exposed himself to someone while he was sitting inside a white Honda Accord hatchback on the 800 block of Cherry Avenue.

6:15 p.m. A black Nissan Altima was broken into on the second floor of a parking garage at The Shops at Tanforan.

6:50 p.m. A vehicle was broken into on the second floor of a parking garage at The Shops at Tanforan.

7:33 p.m. A green Toyota Highlander was broken into on the second floor of a parking garage at The Shops at Tanforan.

10:22 p.m. A drunk driver in a silver Ford Mustang was spotted going northbound on Skyline Boulevard near San Bruno Avenue.

Saturday

11:17 p.m. Someone shot a window of a 1963 Ford pickup truck with a BB gun on the 2300 block of Princeton Drive.

12:38 p.m. Police received a report of alleged embezzlement on the 1700 block of El Camino Real after a deposit at a business wasn't made the day before. The manager accused of embezzlement had quit on the same day the deposit wasn't made.

2:32 p.m. Someone slashed two tires on a black Lincoln Towncar on the 1000 block of Cherry Avenue.

Sunday

8:39 a.m. An auto burglary that occurred sometime between Aug. 17 and Aug. 18 was reported on the 400 block of Kensington Avenue.

By all means go to big joes! The place is small but thats what keeps it Great! good old San BrunoRead More Style not many left,I have lived in san Bruno most my life and remember a lot of the places in the pictures that hang on the walls. Great place

Do the principals also lose 5 days pay? Does Hutt lose 5 days pay? Do the board members lose 5 days worth of their stipend. In other words, is the bad tasting medicine swallowed by everyone in the school district in a sincere effort to cure the ills of this school district Or is it just the teachers and the classified workers who are called upon to attempt a restoral of good health, the direct result of poor management and less than admirable leadership that has brought about ths crisis??

I question why they would have contracted for PE at the elementary level. Isn't that what recess and the balance of lunch time was for? Physical activity??? District cutting school days? The District is showing an agreement with the union which will saveRead More $200K. It doesn't show where the money is coming from, but the amount makes it look like they are cutting 5 days from the calendar. Dr. Hutt said at the last meeting that the length of the school year was still under negotiation.
