Police Log: Christmas Decorations Stolen

The following information was supplied by the San Bruno Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.



Friday


7:37 p.m. A petty theft was reported on the 1100 block of El Camino Real. The theft allegedly occurred on Nov. 14 when a woman between the ages of 20 and 25 switched bar codes on store merchandise. Loss was valued at $434.65. Subject also reportedly stole from Mountain View store.

Sometime between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Police made a welfare check on family with two children locked inside of red Toyota Camry on the 1100 block of El Camino Real.  A spare set of keys was on the way; children's mother and uncle were standing by.


10:37 p.m. Possible shots fired reported on the 3900 block of Coronado Way. Ten or less staggered gunshots were heard coming from around college area. No vehicle or subjects were seen leaving area.

Saturday

9:59 a.m. Christmas decorations were stolen from front yard of residence on the 3000 block of Fleetwood Drive. Decorations were valued at $250.

3:29 p.m. Police respond to report of vandalism on the 900 block of El Camino Real. The windshield of a blue Hyundai was broken by a beer bottle.

11:04 p.m. A man, who is presumably drunk in public, falls asleep at restaurant table. He claims his friends left him and refuses to pay dinner bill.

Sunday

12:36 a.m. Police respond to a report of a group of juveniles loitering on Linden Avenue playing chicken with their vehicles and playing loud music.

1:45 p.m. A parent on the 400 block of Milton Avenue reports a suspicious man in his early 50's talking to his children, ages 3 and 5. The suspect is described as having a mullet haircut and holding a can of alcohol in brown paper bag.

4:02 p.m. A shopfliter allegedly pushed down a clerk and fled from the business at 300 El Camino Real. Robbery suspect was described as a 30-year-old black male wearing gray sweatshirt and khakis.

Monday

12:56 a.m. Tenant on the 100 block of Poplar Avenue claims that landlord changed locks without proper eviction notice.

8:29 a.m. Police respond to report of customer throwing coffee at employee on the 1200 block of El Camino Real. Employee was not injured.

11:12 a.m. Resident on the 100 block of Hampton Court reports unknown subject obtained credit card number and charged more than $1,000 at stores in San Diego. Resident tells police that card was never lost.

By all means go to big joes! The place is small but thats what keeps it Great! good old San BrunoRead More Style not many left,I have lived in san Bruno most my life and remember a lot of the places in the pictures that hang on the walls. Great place

Mr, Kiely, When they cut school days, isn't the savings in that the employees who directly work withRead More and for the children are deprived of that many days of pay??? Do the principals also lose 5 days pay? Does Hutt lose 5 days pay? Do the board members lose 5 days worth of their stipend. In other words, is the bad tasting medicine swallowed by everyone in the school district in a sincere effort to cure the ills of this school district Or is it just the teachers and the classified workers who are called upon to attempt a restoral of good health, the direct result of poor management and less than admirable leadership that has brought about ths crisis??

I question why they would have contracted for PE at the elementary level. Isn't that what recess and the balance of lunch time was for? Physical activity??? District cutting school days? The District is showing an agreement with the union which will saveRead More $200K. It doesn't show where the money is coming from, but the amount makes it look like they are cutting 5 days from the calendar. Dr. Hutt said at the last meeting that the length of the school year was still under negotiation.
