Police Log: Drunk Drivers; Drag Race Foiled

Thursday

1:27 p.m. Someone reported to police that food was smeared on her vehicle on the 100 block of Cupid Row.

Sometime between 10:48 a.m. and 11:09 p.m., a drunk driver was reported near Cunningham Way and Interstate 280.

11:09 p.m. A black 1991 Acura sedan was stolen on the 1100 block of El Camino Real.

Friday

12:12 a.m. A red 1994 two-door Honda Civic was stolen.

5:45 p.m. A drunk driver in a red pickup truck was reported near El Camino Real and Highway 380.

11:59 p.m. Police received a report of about 30 vehicles that were getting ready to hold a drag race near Interstate 280 and Skyline Boulevard.

Saturday

3:05 a.m. A woman told police she saw a coyote or some large animal on her front door step as she was trying to get to her vehicle.

Sometime between 3:05 a.m. and 9:28 a.m., a drunk driver was reported on the 900 block of El Camino Real.

9:46 a.m. A green Toyota Rav 4 was egged, leaving scratch marks on the vehicle, on the 1700 block of Park Avenue.

1:01 p.m. A sliver Porsche 911 was egged overnight on the 800 block of Jenevein Avenue.

Sometime between 9:46 p.m. and 10:18 p.m., a hit-and-run accident occurred near El Camino Real and San Felipe Avenue. Two vehicle were allegedly racing and hit one another. Police later reported that drunk driving was involved.

10:37 p.m. Someone attempted to break into a green GMC van on the 2000 block of Willow Way. The driver side door was tampered with, but it wasn’t burglarized.

Sunday

Sometime between 1:22 a.m. and 9:13 a.m., a drunk driver was reported near Acacia Avenue and Crystal Springs Road.

3:02 p.m. Someone’s dark gray Nissan Altima was carjacked.

6:01 p.m. Police received a report of a home break-in on the 400 block of Huntington Avenue. Some small items were reported stolen.

10:59 p.m. A woman on the 100 block of Oxford Lane called police after the girlfriend of her daughter’s father grabbed her hair and tried to choke her.
