Police Log: Woman Sees 'Steam Rising'

The following information was supplied by the San Bruno Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday

2:49 a.m. A woman on the 300 block of Cypress Avenue called police after waking up to the sound of unknown metal noises. She saw two men dressed in black outside her window.

10:18 a.m. Police received a call about someone dropping off a fraudulent prescription on the 800 block of Cherry Avenue.


11:11 a.m. A woman told police her wallet was stolen from her purse and a credit card was used without her authorization at Lucky’s. Her wallet contains both her and her spouse’s social security cards.

Friday

2:00 a.m. Police received a call from a man requesting medical attention saying he was physically hurting and was having a mental breakdown at on the 300 block of San Bruno Avenue East.

11:00 a.m. Police received a call from a construction crew saying they found a Rolex watch while cleaning sewer lines near the intersection of Cypress Court and Mastick Avenue.

2:00 a.m. A man told police his daughter has been forcing him to sign checks so she could get cash, and also forged his signature on some of his checks.

Saturday

6:51 p.m. Police received a call from a woman on the 800 block of Huntington Avenue who claims she is being harassed by her former partner whom she believes is making false police reports about her.

8:48 p.m. A woman called police claiming she could see “steam” rising from the ground of the empty lot across from the gas station at the corner of San Bruno Avenue West and Skyline Boulevard.

Sunday

3:57 p.m. A man on the 900 block of Huntington Avenue told police that someone broke into his shed and stole his tools.

4:30 p.m. A witness told police they saw adults smoking marijuana at a child’s birthday party near a snack shack on the 200 block of City Park Way.
