Police Log: Moviegoer Almost Gets Pickpocketed While Watching Movie

Thursday

7:24 a.m. Police received a report that a city-owned tree on the 400 block of Oak Avenue was cut down overnight. This was the second time that incident had happened.

9:41 a.m. A 2012 Ford Escape was broken into on the 2500 block of Princeton Drive. An HP laptop and phone case were stolen.

2:22 p.m. A drunk driver in a burgundy PT Cruiser was spotted near Linden Avenue and San Felipe Avenue.

4:42 p.m. Police received a report that an apartment was burglarized on the 2000 block of Crystal Springs Road sometime between 7:20 a.m. and the afternoon. A TV and laptop were stolen.

9:10 p.m. A silver 2000 Honda Civic parked on the first level at The Shops at Tanforan was stolen.

9:40 p.m. A drunk driver in a silver Nissan Quest was spotted near Skyline Boulevard and Westborough Boulevard.

Saturday

3:51 a.m. A silver 2003 Honda Civic was stolen on the 400 block of Cedar Avenue. The owner heard the vehicle leaving the front of the house and saw the car being driven down the street.

6:57 p.m. While watching a movie at Century at Tanforan, someone attempted to reach into a person's pocket and steal his money.

Sunday

8:10 a.m. An at-risk patient with dementia was reported missing on the 700 block of Third Avenue.

9:01 a.m. A man from Anchorage reported his daughter, Kami Herrington, missing.

11:53 a.m. A vehicle was broken into on the 2200 block of Whitman Way and money was stolen from the ashtray.

3:04 p.m. A vehicle hit a pedestrian near El Camino Real and San Felipe Avenue, and the person was injured.
