Police Log: Stolen Cars, Auto Burglaries

Thursday

Sometime before 3:18 a.m., a vehicle was seen on fire near . A street sweeper driver was possibly involved.

7:03 a.m. An auto burglary was reported on the 900 block of Jenevein Avenue. Items were removed from the vehicle's glove box and it was set on fire, leaving a seat burned, police said.

9:08 a.m. A laptop was stolen from someone's office desk on the 1100 block of Bayhill Drive.

8:25 p.m. Police were called because four teenagers were walking into the street and mooning drivers near El Camino Real and San Bruno Avenue West.

Saturday

1:23 a.m. Someone was assaulted and injured in a parking lot on the 400 block of San Mateo Avenue.

2:26 p.m. A silver Toyota Solara was stolen on the 1100 block of El Camino Real.

3:26 p.m. The front tires of someone's silver Honda Accord were slashed while the car was parked on the 700 block of San Anselmo Avenue South.

Sunday

7:28 a.m. A white Honda Accord sedan was stolen on the 1100 block of National Avenue.

12:47 p.m. A Christmas tree sitting near an abandoned house near Florida Avenue and San Anselmo Avenue North was on fire. The front lawn of the house was also on fire. The fire was put out later, police said.

2:36 p.m. A red Datsun truck was stolen on the 1100 block of El Camino Real.
