Residents Encouraged to Crowd the Park During National Night Out

Step out of your homes, turn on your front porch lights and meet your San Bruno neighbors at this year's event.

Meet your neighbors, the members of the city's Citizens Crime Prevention Committee, as well as other members of the San Bruno police and fire departments, City Council and various community leaders at this year's annual gathering of .

This nationwide event began in the 1970s as a way to get people out of their homes and meet each other with the common purpose of making communities safer by raising crime prevention awareness.

A gathering will be held at Grundy Park, where food and refreshments will be served (everyone is encouraged to bring something to share) and where participants will get to learn more about how to keep their neighborhoods safe.
