Two auto theft suspects were arrested Tuesday after the stolen car’s license plate was detected in San Rafael by a police car scanning device, reported the Marin Independent Journal.
Both suspects, from Concord and San Mateo, were booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of vehicle theft and stolen property.
The car, a Ford Ranger, was reported stolen in San Bruno on Monday. On Tuesday, the deputy with the license plate scanned stopped the vehicle, arrested the suspects, and confiscated suspected stolen property from the car.
Both suspects are in custody on $25,000 bail.
