San Bruno Businesses May Have been Victims of Phone Scam

A solicitor was calling businesses claiming to have the endorsement of the Chamber of Commerce.

The following letter was sent to San Bruno Chamber of Commerce member businesses by chamber CEO Jamie Monozon:

Dear Business Owner,

In an effort to continually support the businesses of San Bruno, It is important to let you know of a possible phone scam happening right now.

Today there has been a person contacting businesses claiming to be from the City or the Chamber and using my name as a referral to sell magnets.  I do not know of this person and the Chamber does not have a magnet project going on at this time.
