San Bruno Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash

The motorcycle crash happened on southbound Highway 101 in San Francisco. The man hasn't yet been identified.

A 27-year-old San Bruno man died in a motorcycle crash on southbound U.S. Highway 101 this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP first received a report of a motorcyclist hitting the center divide of Highway 101 at 1:10 a.m. today, CHP officials said.

Traffic proceeded slowly past the collision before the CHP shut down the on-ramps at Van Ness Avenue and at Octavia Boulevard for about 90 minutes during the investigation.

The investigation indicates that the man struck a catwalk on the east side of the freeway and was thrown from the motorcycle.

The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
